Stylish Waterfall Faucets Are The Trend That Lasts

Many homeowners fancy modern design of bathroom accessories like bathroom taps and faucets with waterfall effect. There is none denying the fact that that these come with very attractive designs and colors, but look too good to work. That’s not to say they don’t work, but unfortunately, as you’ll realize, they don’t lost long enough to justify the expense.

I feel certain that the present range of waterfall faucets are good for use for about three to five years without being noisy when dripping. Though originally made from brass, these days waterfall faucets are prepared from glass. The glass can be found at the top where the water is going to dispense from. You get these in almost all shapes including square, round and even in triangular shapes of glass.

Well, we are aware that the shell being made of glass can have any color in shades of reds, greens and blues. The present generation of these waterfall taps made in glass are also provided with LED lights the colors of which are subject to temperature of water. So, very logically, these turn red when the water gets too hot and emit green light if the water is at comfortable temperature and for too cold water the light turns blue.

I choose to talk about waterfall taps, as I don’t find them durable in families with growing children. Children, as you now are always in a hurry to wash hands and then rush out to continue with their intended activity. Most of the waterfall taps I have come across have had a single lever on the top from where the water rushes out. It’s not only children who often are responsible for breaking that single lever handle that controls the flow of water, as I have seen even adults mishandling it, causing its breakage.

With children around the house, you can’t expect it to last for long! At the most it will survive a year. And, as you might guess, the warranty, though of five years, doesn’t provide cover for such flaws as the flaw is not caused by wear and tear but due mishandling. You won’t have another choice but spending money for getting a replacement of similar style or get another that children can be trusted with.

You surely need to have a prolonged careful thought before installing such a waterfall tap in the bathroom. What if the glass is broken while your child is there in the bathroom? It ‘s very scary and God forbid it. So far, I have not come across waterfall kitchen tap in the faucet market.

I can’t see the prospects of a waterfall kitchen appliance unless the manufacturers can think of making its use friendlier. It’s not my intention to dissuade you from going ahead and buying a waterfall tap and you may feel free to have a look at that. I just thought of making you aware of some of the drawbacks of this product.
